Please join Windy City Knots tomorrow, Sat 12/7 @ 11 AM for an intermediate class where we will review the Takate Kote and beginning ideas in harness tying. When you start tying harnesses, it’s great time to focus on the four foundational concepts, most notably rope handling and tension.
The Takate Kote is an essential harness that lays the foundation for many other topics. Learning it involves learning several important components to review slowly, particularly rope placement, communication, reading bodies, and, of course, frictions and hitches. Remember, you are ready for this intermediate material if you’ve completed all 7 lessons in the beginner material.

As it happens, Shibari Study’s Fouco, whom I respect as one of today’s leading Shibari educators, just released a free fantastic podcast of her and Mo Bights talking from an educational perspective about students moving into harness work. Great listen in preparation for class.
